The Joe Biden gaffe thread. - Page 3

Yeah but calling Bush on saying something stupid is like playing basketball with a retarded kid and calling him for a double dribble. Some stuff you just need to let slide.

My mistake. However it did strike me as more than a bit odd that Republicans are suddenly concerned about grammar considering what our last President did with the English language. That was my one and only point.

The problem with that one is people changed the punctuation while typing it in order to make it wrong. It was said as "The question rarely asked is, are Children learning?" which is actually grammatically correct.

Here is a video clip that contains that quote if you are really interested (you can skip to 0:29).|||Quote:

Oh wait, we were looking for Joe Biden gaffes? Well you have to admit these Bush gaffes are so much more amusing.

Sorry, but they pale in comparison to "Cinco de Cuatro".

Or that he thinks Microsoft is the Department of Defense...

|||I don't think it's really about grammar, HSF. Revealing the location of your secret escape bunker isn't a grammatical error, nor is saying that you wouldn't fly on a plane or ride a subway for fear of catching swine flu.|||Quote:

Bush made his share for sure. But giving up secret locations was not one of them that I am aware of.|||Quote:

That's because no one in the government revealed them to him in the first place. They just went straight to Cheney.|||Bush is out of office now. You can stop being jealous of him.|||I wouldn't switch places with him even if he was sober.|||Speaking freely is something completely different than writing a text (and reviewing it later). If you struggle for words in a spontaneous speech without preparing the text in advance, it's rather common to produce a bit of garbage. G.W. Bush had a certain talent at that, however.

Anyway if people are mocking too much about small accidents in spontaneous words, it will lead to politicians only reading them from a piece of paper and I guess that will change things to the worse.

I guess each of let's say the last 20 presidents could have said that.

Whatever, I have to agree with Johnny. We would have more of a laugh about Palin. She didn't just produce a few slips in her speeches, she made a complete fool out of herself by letting her incompetence become apparent all too obviously. All of the world laughed about her clumsiness.

FYI, I'm neither favouring the democrats nor the republicans. I just have my personal opinion about the politicians themselves .|||Quote:

Personally I was looking forward to "vice president Palin" and her gaffles that would have put Biden to shame.

And maybe she could've been quietly replaced with Lisa Ann...

That's more than a punctuation change.|||Quote:

The fact that you're in agreement with Johnny, and your view towards Palin, calls you a liar.

You really ought to read source documents more rather than just Spiegel, ya know.
