Weirdness in dreams - Page 4

If only we had dream machines like in final fantasy: spirit within...|||As for me.. I can wake up and continue a dream about where i left off. As for reading don't know. I don't really fly in my dreams as much as jump really high and far but i do fly sometimes. I can jump on roofs and over house's when i want. I have the ability too close my eyes and tell myself too wake up and i always do. Dreams are strange.. I recorded my dreams every morning for about 6 months tryin too peice something together.. no real connection just randomness.

I think a problem in this world is that people have forgot how too Dream.. too much stress and random jargon might play apart of this but i think its a problem. Think it can be harmful not too dream?? Don't dreams consist of a pool of subconscious thoughts/desires/memories and imagination in the back of your brain.. what happens if u don't drain this pool thru dreams? Madness I say (: Just my thoughts keep on dreamin on

-Jason|||I had this recurring nightmare that was a little weird

I guess you could say it was a little bit like War of the Worlds, except its happening in a small town and I'm the only one in the town that can save it...

Thing is, I can only remember - me hiding under a car shooting the invaders in the leg, the commander of the invaders in my apartment...and running. Lots of running.

Edit: Hey, where's that explanation of the flying toilet?|||I have very vivid, complex, and bizarre dreams, some of them seem so real that I have a hard time distinguishing between reality and the dream when I wake up. Sometimes I randomly remember something from a dream that I really have to think about to determine if it really happened. They are usually so complex and many faceted that I have a hard time explaining what they are about. Often there are portions that really stick with me and I find myself thinking about them in the days following. I find myself wondering how in the hell my brain came up with some of the scenarios. :flip:|||I remember all my dreams with crystal clarity. It scares me sometimes.|||I can't remember squat. What does that mean?|||That means you're becoming senile. :hide:

Me too!!!

Anyway, on to the toilet thing:

In the dream I woke up, showered, ate breakfast, tossed some stuff into my briefcase, and walked into the attached garage. In the middle of the space where the car should be is a normal-looking toilet. I go over and lift the lid. When I see that the water is a light shade of blue, I think "Gotta go tomorrow." and lifted the (unusually light) cover to the tank and put my briefcase inside. (No water or any of the usual parts inside.) I sat down on the lid and pressed a button on my keychain to open the garage door. When I hit the flush lever with my elbow, motorcycle noises start coming out of the bowl and I feel the restraint field kick in. (Put a garbage bag over your arm and reach into a sink full of water. Now imagine that feeling over your entire body.) At my mental command, the toilet then lifts off the ground and flies out the door, over my lawn, and and above my house. Here's the really odd thing about this dream: The house is a giant open book and my entire life story is written in it. As I'm floating there, the words "and he floated there, reading these very words to waste time so he'll be late to his doctor's appointment because he knows she'll give him grief over his cholesterol" appear on the page. I groaned, rolled my eyes, and headed out to the highway. I saw all sorts of things flying along, including: An antique car driven by an old man, a couple of teenagers in coffins, a woman in a large pot followed by her children in a bunch of smaller pots, and a "school bus" consisting of a man in a Lay-Z-Boy stopping over houses and tossing a plate down that picks the kid up and adds him to the collection floating behind him. After a minute or so I landed on a building, got of the toilet, and press the alarm activation button on my keychain. As the "Whoop, wheep" sounded, I woke up in my bed. After a few seconds I said "What the **** was that all about?" and got up for the day.

The house and surrounding areas were not based on anything in my real life.

A few things I "knew" from the dream: Everybody lived in a house that was their life story and if someone was reading yours, you would know. Because crude oil was almost gone, gas & deisel powered vehicles were only used to transporting heavy cargo. Everyone else had a magic powered vehicle, though the cost of getting it set up was determined mostly by how much it weighed. The color of the water in my toilet told me how much magic power I had left. The tank was my both storage space and passenger area. It was bigger on the inside than it was on the outside and could fit 6 people, though they couldn't see out.

I actually do know the psychological source of my flying toilet: As a kid, my parents would often as me and my sister if we needed to go to the bathroom before we would get in the car. They often tell us "try anyway" if we said no, so sometimes we would attempt to go pee before going anywhere just to prevent the usual question. To this day, any time I have to do something I have a good chance of needing to pee before getting started.|||I like to think that my messed up dreams are a sign that I'm creative not insane. :wink3:|||I dream about tornadoes a lot. What's up with that?
