A lowlife wants to kill his wealthy father to get inheritance money to start an illegal business. In order to kill his father, he needs to pay a hitman $100,000 to take care of him. The man and his friend create a bomb vest and put it on a pizza delivery boy, who must rob a bank and get $100,000 within 10 hours or the bomb blows up.
So many underrated comedy actors in this movie. Jesse Eisenberg proved himself funny in Zombieland, Danny McBride is hilarious in almost anything (especially Eastbound and Down, highly recommended by the way), Michael Pena was hilarious in the couple comedy roles he had (also Eastbound and Down), Nick Swardson is a hilarious guy but often gets the worst roles, and Aziz Ansari has some pretty good standup comedy from what i have seen. However, all of this underrated talent mixed with some awful writing makes for a mediocre comedy. Though I did laugh throughout the movie, it was just lacking a lot of elements and it all felt funny, but poorly executed. A couple quotable lines, a couple scenes where its obvious the actors did some on the spot jokes which made the scene so much better, and then a ton of poorly executed jokes. The director hit a huge home run with Zombieland, but this movie was the exact opposite in my eyes. The cool techniques used with Zombieland happened on and off in this movie, and it felt insanely inconsistent. It was also hard to determine what kind of movie this was trying to be, sometimes it felt like another stupid teen comedy, other times it felt like a stupid action comedy, and then everything in between. Also Jesse Eisenberg has proved himself to be a good actor in Zombieland and an amazing actor in Social Network, but seeing him play a lowlife stoner is just so terrible. I am glad that only lasted a small portion of the movie because he is not the right actor for that role. Overall, I had fun with it, I had plenty of laughs, but this movie could have been so much better. Its extremely forgettable, which is a shame. I would say if you had interest in seeing it, go for it, otherwise its not worth the time.|||The Help (2011)

In 1960's Mississippi, a young white author tries to write an anonymous book about the stories of what struggles black maids encounter on a daily basis.
I really enjoyed the movie but I feel like it could have been better. It was a very touching story, but I felt that it was disorganized a little too often. There were a lot of substories going on during the movie, and it was jumping around throughout the entire length of the movie. I honestly got a little confused sometimes because I could not tell what relationship the characters had to one another. Basically, its a novel-length story packed into a 2.5 hour movie. Like with a lot of movies based on novels, its just too much going on. Although the plot was good, it was touching, it was funny, it was moving, it was inspiring, it was great. The acting was really good as well. Overall it was a good movie, worth watching, but a little on the girly side. Its not one of those girly movies that are moving as well, there is a lot of humor which was directed straight at the female audience. Slightly long, sometimes it felt a little drawn out, but then again if it were any shorter, it would have been even less organized.

In the 1980's, a group of young friends are filming a movie when they capture a horrible train accident on camera. After the train wreck, lots of mysterious things begin to happen in the town.
The point of this movie is to go in having no idea what it is about, so if you go in knowing some of the key points of the plot, then I'm not sure how good it can be. But basically this is like a tribute/spoof of 1980's sci-fi/mystery/action movies loaded with so many cliches that your nostalgia rating will be off the charts. It is all intentional, and its actually kind of cool, it feels like you're truly watching one of those 1980's movies for the first time. It was a weird movie though, I found that the more it went on, the less I liked it. Started out extremely intriguing, but then once it hit the halfway mark my interest kept dropping. But it is nice watching a movie where literally everything is unfolding to the moment the credits roll, lots of movies today give you the entire plot within 20 minutes, then the movie itself, and then the conclusion. This movie is a story which continues to unfold throughout, which is great. Unfortunately the plot itself is not the best, in fact it is rather shallow. I guess I liked it less toward the end because I realized how not exciting the plot actually is. But the characters were great, even for a bunch of child actors, it was really solid. The special effects were great, the action was again, very nostalgic, and lots of really cheap scares...also nostalgic moments. Overall it was decent, and it was worth watching. But this movie definitely wins the award for the most exaggerate train wreck scene EVER.|||i guess i can put mine in here....

Stars Jonh Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson and Harry Connick Jr. has a small role in it. Those are the only big names I or my friend knew.
Went to my friend's on Saturday and this is one of his fave movies. He's all like, "Leo, you gotta watch it! It's so good! So many twists and turns!" So I gave it a shot. He was definitely right about the twists and turns part. When you thought you FINALLY understood it, something else would happen. At the end of the movie and the credits began, I said, "What the ****?" No joke, it's one of those movies where you will say that at the end and the second time around, everything will come together and you will notice and catch things. The only movie I can somewhat compare it to is The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman but it takes place in the Army and has nothing to do with magicians. It's that kind of movie.
The plot is something like this: a team of six Rangers and their commander guy (Jackson) go out into training during this hurricane but something bad happens to where only two make it out alive. One Ranger won't talk to anyone about what happened and that's when some colonel calls in his friend (Travolta) to see if he can get this guy to talk before the Ranger is transferred.
I wasn't feeling the beginning very much. Some parts it felt so cliched or like i was watching a high school performance, the dialogue felt forced at times, it felt like the director was trying to hard to make it real, but about the middle was when things started to feel a bit more natural and not so forced or cliched. If you can get past the beginning, it is worth the watch. It is definitely a mind screw of a movie.|||True or not I bet someone makes the movie
