So How's the Jihad going? - Page 2

[:1]@krishan:

So are you telling me the terrorists will nuke us and after we ruthlessly retaliate russia and china join them in an all out nuclear war?

come on...

@jmervyn:

Your fears are completly out of proportion.

Its like a squad of soldiers in a bunker being afraid of a guerilla fighter with a machete.

Because he COULD use poisonous blow darts.

They lack every possible means of deploying a nuke. And even if they did they get swept away by a massive nato invasion. Look how nazis swept through europe and they had a much smaller edge than what we have now.|||Quote:

But it is never just a single guerrilla fighter, they are inevitably supported by an underground movement, who are almost always civilian. Just look at Nancy Wake (RIP) and the others who terrorized the occupying forces in France. To make matters worse, these particular "single guerrilla fighters" have no fear of death and believe that their sacrifice will be rewarded in the afterlife. A suicide attack is almost impossible to defend against.|||I'm sure the big nuke powers track and have kill plans in place for the little nuke power assets.

Any suitcase nukes in the wrong place set them off.

insurgency's not so much.|||Quote:

There was nothing at all senseless about the Iraq adventure

If the NATO will freak out from one nuke, you believe that China or Russia will not freak out when their allies or neighbours are carpet-bombed with nukes?

If you ask China or Russia while having that attitude, I would place a bet on them saying "Yes, we will" and making their threat come true if necessary. For example, they could send a nuke onto NATO territory for each nuke dropped by the NATO. Maybe they won't start with NYC, but there are a lot of less inhabited areas in NATO territory.

Your speculations about a massive retaliatory strike by the NATO are just a blind rage of your mind. It won't happen.|||

Look no poll bug

Do you think that there are many Nato members who would have the means and will power to stage a sweeping invasion? They have no money, they talk a big talk but when it comes to action, so many Nato members have the attitude of "let someone else do it" and most times that someone else is the US.|||ok... the whole nuclear war angle on this... its just ridiculous.

have you ever heard of the "MAD World" doctrine? Its pretty accurate... the problem lies in the fact that the nukes that would likely be used in retaliation will be ICBMs & the big issue is that if anyone shoots one of those ***ers off, you cant 'really' tell where its headed in the second or 3 you have to make sure your launch is in the air before it hits. In those few seconds, there will be more shot off by all the panicking military of any power that has access to such things... cascade effect.

and for the record, it takes way less than 50 nukes to start a nuclear holocaust... particularly of the type/size that would be flying at that point... only hope lie in the possibility that after the first few detonate it would so alter Earth's EMF enough that the rest wouldn't detonate properly... and that this would happen is just a theory.

much more likely is a chemical/biological attack that will be unable to be contained... frankly, this scares me waaaayyy more than a nuclear war. I mean, come on, would you rather go in a blast that instantaneously converts you into a puff of hydrogen, or of spending a week dying slowly to some mutated form of leprosy?|||In many German cities, Muslim arbiters, or "peace judges," are settling criminal cases before law enforcement can bring the cases to court. That is undermining Germany's rule of law, according to a new book.
