Amy Winehouse - R.I.P. - Page 2

Not a loss.

and if this isn't the way she wanted it then taking all those drugs and drinking all that booze was pretty stupid.|||lol should've gone to rehab

but she said no no no hahahahah

too soon?|||I heard a news segment that said her mother had visited her a day or two before. They said her mother commented that "it won't be long now".

What kind of mother is that?!

If you know your child is on the brink would you not move heaven and hell to try to help? Yes, in some cases there is nothing you can do. But to just resign yourself that you child will die shortly... not a very good parent there imho.|||Quote:

We dont know the other things the mother have done. For all we know she has spent years trying to get her daughter out of the drugs. But as a son and a father, I can say that some times, you just cant do any more. You did your best, if your kid falls, it has to try to get up themselves.|||Quote:

It's someone who recognizes that the responsibility for the addiction/treatment lies with the addict and them alone.

No one else is responsible. No one else has the power to make that change.

No matter how many times help is offered, if the addict doesn't want help then no one else should be blamed for the behaviour of the addict.|||Quote:

And when it's Linsey Lohan's turn, I wonder how many people are going to say, "It's about damn time!"? |||what pisses me off is that because she died at 27 sxome people are comparing her to jimi hendrix, kurt cobain ect. (theres a whole list I just don't remember it all)

even if she did die at the same age, she still doesn't belong in that list. because those musicians were actually good|||Quote:

This. Couldn't agree more. You can not reach a person who doesn't want help (whether they're in denial about needing help or they don't want to change their lifestyle, or whatever).

Get real, man. Like her or dislike her, she earned her place in the "wasted talent" club fair and square. It's NOT a cool club to be in.|||Quote:

P.S. To those who enjoy ripping celebs, especially when they're struggling with their demons in a very high profile way: I hope you choke.

you can count me among them this time

gonna be another story of "wasted talent" when said talent was never readily visible|||Quote:

Yeap - I don't like her that much but she even meets the Darwin Award like extra stupid part of the qualifications.

Are you sure it's not like that club 33 at Disneyland though?

Everyone else is hanging out at the gate waiting to get past St. Peter and they get ushered off to this secret club?
